All new and continuing Emory University students are required to have health insurance.
Every year, every student is automatically enrolled in the Emory University Student Health Insurance Plan (EUSHIP) unless they complete the annual waiver process before August 1, 2024.

If you wish to waive out of the Emory University Student Health Insurance Plan, complete the following steps. (Oxford students only need to complete Step 1.)
Submit Health Insurance Waiver for Approval
Log into OPUS at opus.emory.edu and click on the "Health" tile on the homepage. Select "Submit Health Insurance Waiver" and follow the steps to complete the process. The waiver will open on June 6, 2024.
You will be waived out of EUSHIP once your waiver has been approved.
Upload a Photo of Your Insurance Card
Log into the Student Patient Portal at www.shspnc.emory.edu and click on Insurance Card on the left-hand menu. Upload a photo of the front and back of your current health insurance card.
Allow 5-7 business days for the verification process to conclude.

Emory University Student Health Services (EUSHS) provides outpatient care for enrolled Emory students with a valid Emory ID card. International student's spouses, Domestic Partners and unmarried children over 18 years of age are also eligible for primary medical care if they are currently enrolled in the Emory/Aetna Student Health Insurance Plan.
